Cardinia Shire Council is using aQtual to manage its internal knowledge for use by call centre and other staff. Soon aQtual will be launched on Cardinia's website to answer questions from the public.

 

No longer need visitors to Victoria Online rely on simple keyword searches or browsing to find the answer to their questions. With the release of the "Got a Question?" service it is simple to type in a question in natural language - just ask the question as you would if you spoke it - and the system will match it to the best match answer in the Victoria Online knowledgebase.

The system is clever enough to learn as it goes to optimise the chances of getting the answer you need the first time you ask it. Information Victoria is also using aQtual to assist their call centre to answer customer questions using the same knowledgebase.

 

The system is a first for any AFL club and the Western Bulldogs Chief Operating Officer Robert Stubbs says “it is a significant leap forward in our ability to provide our members and supporters with instant answers to their questions 24 / 7 and links directly to further information as they need it”.
